Certifications
Celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2009, Novabase is now the leading Portuguese company in the information and communication technology market.
In 1994, it distinguished itself from other companies in the sector as the first to obtain ISO 9001 certification for its production process. In 2009, in line with a unique governance strategy, it decided to integrate the group’s two existing quality management systems (Novabase Consulting and Novabase Infrastructures & Managed Services) into a single system.
Consequently, in 2010, a new management system structure was created to help integrate the various best practices at the company – awarded level 3 CMMI-DEV (Capability Maturity Model Integration) certification in 2008 from Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute – as well as certification for other reference standards.
Once again reflecting the company’s strategy and a greater focus on sustainable development, the quality management system was gradually extended to the areas of environment, occupational health and safety and research, development and innovation in order to expand certification to these areas in the future, thereby resulting in an integrated management system.
Currently, Novabase’s quality management system is certified in accordance with standard NP EN ISO 9001:2008 for information and communication technology solutions design, development, production, installation and support, and for consulting, auditing and training services in the area of information communication technologies marketed according to the form of product, service, outsourcing or project.
In 2010, Novabase’s RDI management system was certified in accordance with Portuguese standard NP 4457:2007 for research, development and innovation activities in business intelligence solutions.
The certification process also began for environmental management and occupational health and safety systems
